iTunes 11 is the biggest update to iTunes since the iTunes Music Store. The unwritten here is that you dont launch the new iTunes when you’ve just churned your executive team.
iTunes is the lynchpin to the entire Apple eco-system. If they screw-up the iTunes 11 launch then the tech-press and mainstream media will have a field day.
You cant underestimate the snowball-effect that public chic-chat about Android vs iPhone has on sales. Before you know it people will be saying “I hear maps suck, new iTunes doesnt work… I’m going to try Android”. Apple need to get the next few iOS related updates 100% perfect out of the gate or risk permanently damaging the iPhone and iPad brand halo.
